TiKC

Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy explains what information Hours Tracker: TiKC (“TiKC”, “the app”) and this website, tikc.app, collect and how it’s used. TiKC is made by Matt Hollyhead, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom.

The short version: everything you track in TiKC stays on your device. There are no accounts, and I never see your activities, time entries or totals. The app and the website collect anonymous usage statistics to help me understand how they’re used and fix problems.

Your time-tracking data stays on your device

Your activities, time entries, totals and any income figures are stored only on your iPhone. They aren’t uploaded to me or to any server, and I can’t access them.

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, that backup may include TiKC’s data, as it would for any app. Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy; I can’t access them.

To delete all of TiKC’s data, delete the app.

Anonymous analytics in the app

TiKC uses two services to collect anonymous information about how the app is used and how well it’s working:

This can include which screens and features are used, the app version, your device model, iOS version, language and region, and details of any crashes.

It never includes your name, email address, the names of your activities, your time entries or totals, or any Health data. The information isn’t linked to your identity, isn’t used for advertising, isn’t used to track you across other apps or websites, and is never sold.

This website

tikc.app uses TelemetryDeck to count visits and clicks on the App Store link. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t collect personal data and doesn’t track you across other websites.

Apple Health

TiKC doesn’t currently access Apple Health. If a future version adds Health features, TiKC will only read Health data with your permission. That data will stay on your device, will never be used for analytics or advertising, and will never be shared.

Children

TiKC isn’t aimed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to ask what’s held about you and to ask for it to be deleted. Because TiKC keeps your data on your device and its analytics are anonymous, I don’t hold personal data that identifies you. If you have any questions or requests, email me at the address below.

If you’re unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
